This is our beautiful city... and welcome to it.

As amateur photographers, with a genuine passion for the city of Liverpool, it is with great delight that we now present to you, some of our photographs of this beautiful city.

Along with the rest of the people in this city, we were delighted to learn that Liverpool had been nominated as European Capital of Culture 2008.  It is a remarkable achievement for this city and one that it truly deserves.  The fun is only just beginning.

Perhaps after viewing these photographs you will be able to understand just why we, and most other scousers have grown to love Liverpool.

People have asked us in the past why we love Liverpool as much as we do.  And the answer, 'because we feel proud to be part of such a unique and vibrant city.  A city that is truly going places'.

We hope that you enjoy viewing this website as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

With the only two Liver Birds in the world and a mysterious SuperLambBanana, you are sure to find some very unusual wildlife in Liverpool.

All my life, though some have changed

In my life, I’ve loved them all"

Our Comments

  Well done Liverpool

"We, at Pool of Life, would like to congratulate Liverpool for its fantastic success in becoming both a World Heritage City and Capital of Culture 2008.  It is a wonderful achievement and one that the city truly deserves."

It WILL be Liverpool

  The Fourth Grace...Our opinion

We, at Pool of Life, support regeneration in Liverpool.  We recognise the need for new buildings and facilities in the city.  However we, along with many others in the city, believe that a fourth grace at the Pier Head would spoil what is undoubtedly the most famous waterfront in the world.  For many years, people from all over the world have been able to recognise Liverpool by its THREE graces.

  Strawberry Fields... FOREVER

The news has recently came that the Strawberry Field childrens home may be closed by May 2007.  Not only would this affect the children who reside there, but this would bring to an end a beautiful chapter in the history of Liverpool.  For years, this Liverpool landmark has been visited by Beatles fans from all over the world.  Council leader Mike Storey has said that he would like Strawberry Field's gates to be listed, preserving them for good.

After all, the song was called Strawberry Fields Forever.
